” If you have the opportunity to stand up and make a choice, don’t be a wuss. Accept all its consequences with grace and strength, as Sita did.”
**Sita made 5 choices in her birth!!!(with Painting pictures mentioned all five choices)
- Sita did not choose Rama as a husband, her father and Shiva’s bow had chosen Rama as her husband and she made it her choice.
- Rama gave her option to stay back in palace as jungle was not a good place to stay for 14 years. That time she had chosen to be with Rama for vanvas though vanvas was given to Rama not to her.
- when she was banished to the jungles after her return to Lanka, she gave birth Luv and Kush and we learnt that she trained them in warfare (being an avatar of Kali). So adept were the boys that they defeated Rama’s entire army from Ayodhya. But she did not fight with Ravana herself when he was kidnapping her, but she did instead choose to wail and drop a trail of her jewels for Rama to find her.
- When she has the option of fleeing Lanka with Hanuman, Sita told Hanuman: “I want my husband to cross the sea, come to Lanka, kill Ravana and rescue me himself, thus restoring the reputation of his family. For Rama is a prince, and royal reputations matter a lot to princes.”
- One of the most heartbreaking thing was when Rama, after killing Ravana and rescuing Sita, said detachedly: “I have defeated the man who had kidnapped the queen of Ayodhya, the daughter-in-law of my family. And therefore, I have saved my family’s reputation. Now, Sita, you are free to go wherever you wish.”
When Sita again choosen to go back to Ayodhya with Rama after giving Agnipariksha to prove her pureness. Gossip teared apart Sita’s reputation. She was with another man. Rama deserves better. And Rama, being a people’s king, banished Sita to the jungles once more time.
